Mary brings to her love of teaching yoga her life’s experiences as preschool teacher, mother and outdoor enthusiast.
A stress related condition motivated her to look for self healing. A trip to visit her grandmother in Italy led her to the Ananda Yoga Center in Assissi. A combination of Ayurvedic counselling and Ananda™ yoga set Mary on an amazing path of healing and self discovery. A subsequent Karma yoga visit to the Ananda Center in California sealed Mary’s fate as an Ananda™ Yoga Teacher. It opened a door she never knew existed.
Mary has been teaching yoga in the Burnaby and New Westminster area since April 2003. She does so with enthusiasm, compassion & joy. Her classes leave you feeling inspired.
Mary continues to advance her understanding of the philosophy & principles of yoga by annually returning to the Ananda Yoga Center (aka The Expanding Light) in California. In April 2007 Mary attended the Yoga Conference in Toronto and participated in a variety of enlightening work shops.
In May, Mary organized & conducted a week end retreat just outside of Squamish. Fifteen participants left feeling refreshed & happy and demanding that she organize another one for the fall!
